GeoTest ("Service") is operated by SpecLoop ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and authentication credentials.

Analysis Data: We collect the URLs you submit for analysis and the resulting scan data, scores, and recommendations.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.

Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, device information, and cookies necessary for the Service to function.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) provide and improve the Service; (b) generate analysis reports; (c) manage your account and subscriptions; (d) send transactional emails (e.g., reports, account updates); (e) detect and prevent abuse.

4. Downloads and The GEO Report

When you ask for a free download or subscribe to The GEO Report, we collect your email address and, if you give them, your name and company website. We also record the page and campaign that referred your visit and a one-way hash of your IP address, which we use only to limit abuse; we never store the IP address itself. We use your email to send the download link, and we send The GEO Report only if you tick the box on a download or press Subscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email support@geotest.ai to stop.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with: (a) service providers that help operate the platform (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and website analytics from Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics); (b) law enforcement when legally required. All third-party providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

6. Website Data We Analyze

When you submit a URL, we crawl publicly available pages on that website. We store the text content, metadata, and structure temporarily to generate your report. We do not access password-protected areas or non-public content.

7. Data Retention

Analysis reports are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and a few product events (a quick scan started, an account created, a checkout started, a download or newsletter form sent; never the email or name typed into a form) with IP anonymisation; it sets first-party analytics cookies. Vercel Web Analytics measures page views without cookies. Two first-party cookies (gt_ft and gt_lt) remember which page, link or campaign first and most recently brought you to GeoTest, so we can tell which channels work; they hold no name or email and expire after 180 days. If you sign up, ask for a demo or send a sales message, that source is stored with your account or request. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) export your analysis reports. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
