What GeoTest is

GeoTest is a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform that scores how ready a website is to be cited by AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Claude. The one-line description we give every directory is: Score your site for AI search. Get the exact fixes.

GeoTest was founded by Jason Gordon in 2026 and is built by SpecLoop, an AI-native software studio.

What a GeoTest scan measures

A GeoTest scan measures how easily an AI system can read, trust and quote a page, as a GEO Score from 0 to 100. A Quick Scan scores one page in about 15 seconds. A Site Analysis on a paid plan reads up to 200 pages, usually in 1 to 3 minutes, and adds a site layer for things like the sitemap, robots.txt and contact pages. Every check is published on the GEO Score page.

Most sites have work to do. In the GeoTest Benchmark Report 2026, 53.1% of 4,999 US business homepages scored below 50, and not one earned an A.

How to leave a review of GeoTest

To leave a review of GeoTest, open the badge of any review site on this page, sign in to that site and say what you found. Reviews there are welcome, good or bad, and they help the next team decide whether GeoTest fits.

How to get GeoTest listed on your directory

Directory owners can get GeoTest listed by sending the submission page through the contact page. Each new listing joins this page with the badge that site gives us, the same size as the rest, grouped by kind: review sites, directories, launch boards, communities and profiles.

How to show your own GEO Score badge

Your own GEO Score badge can sit in your site's footer and links to the public GEO Score benchmark. The badge shows your domain's latest GEO v6.0 score and picks up each new scan within about 10 minutes. The embed code is a plain image link, so there is no script to install; copy it from the badge page.

AI search in figures

These AI search figures show how fast answers are replacing clicks, and each one is dated and sourced. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is a method for structuring a website so AI answer engines can read, trust and cite it. A citation is defined as a link to your page inside an AI answer, and the GEO Score refers to a 0 to 100 rating of how ready a page is to earn one. These published figures show why it matters; the reasoning behind every weight is in the methodology.

How much do AI summaries reduce clicks?

AI summaries cut clicks by about half: Pew Research Center found searchers clicked a result 8% of the time when an AI summary appeared, versus 15% without one, a 47% drop (July 2025).

How common are zero-click searches in 2025?

Zero-click searches rose from 56% to 69% between May 2024 and May 2025, and 83% of searches end without a click when AI Overviews show, according to Similarweb (2025).

What share of websites are ready for AI search?

Very few websites are ready: only 2% of the 537 sites in the GeoTest benchmark scored 80 or more in September 2026, and the median score was 47. Those scores came from the rubrics in use before GEO v6.0.

How much search traffic are publishers losing?

Publishers are losing about a third of their Google referrals: across 2,500+ publisher websites, Google search referral traffic was down 33% globally and 38% in the US year over year as of early 2026 (Chartbeat).

How many buyers research with AI chatbots in 2026?

71% of B2B software buyers rely on AI chatbots for software research (G2, 2026), which is why being cited matters as much as ranking. See what GEO is.
