Hi, welcome to GeoTest! In this first video, I'll show you how to get your free GEO Score, create your account, and find your way around your dashboard. Let's get started. It all starts at geotest.ai. Paste your website's address into the box, and run a free Quick Scan. The Quick Scan reads your page the way AI search engines do. It takes about fifteen seconds. Here's your score out of a hundred, with the grade. Next to it, the pages scanned, the fixes found, the score you'd reach once they're live, and the scoring engine. To see every issue and what it means, create your free account. Already have one? Just sign in. Enter your email and choose a password, then confirm it from the email we send you. And you land in your dashboard, with your scan already saved to your account. At the top, your average GEO Score and grade, the sites scoring ninety or more, your recommendations, and your scans this month. Run a new scan right here: one page on any plan, or the whole site on a paid plan. Biggest lift today lists the fixes worth the most points across your sites. Below that, every site you've scanned, with its score and trend. Click Overview to open that site's own dashboard. This is your site's dashboard: its GEO Score, the fixes you've done, the points left to gain, and the scans you've run. Below that, how each category scores, your score history, the fixes for this site, which you tick off as you go, and every scan you've run. To check it again, scan another page, or the whole site, right from here. The sidebar takes you everywhere else. Tracked sites shows the sites your plan covers. Score history follows your scores over time. Benchmark shows how your score compares with every site GeoTest has scored. And Settings and Plan and billing hold your team, your plan, and your invoices. And that's your dashboard. In the next video, I'll show you how to open your full report, and where to find your fixes. See you there!

Video 2: Your full report and your fixes (3:15)

Walk through every section of the full report, then have GeoTest write a fix for your own page that you can paste into your site.

  • What each section of the full report tells you
  • Generate a copy-paste fix on a paid plan
  • Write FAQs with matching schema in Tools
  • Test what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini say about you

Welcome back! In this video, I'll show you how to open your full report, find your fixes, and have GeoTest write them for you. From your site's dashboard, click Full report to open the latest scan. At the top are your GEO Score and grade, the fixes found, and the score you'd reach once every fix is live. Full report is the in-depth version: every category explained, ready to download as a PDF, or share with a client. Scroll down, and section one is the big picture: the score of every page we tested, and how each category did. Quick wins are the three fixes to make this week. The schema generator writes the code that tells AI what your business is. What AI engines say about you shows real answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, once you run the test. Ranked by impact lists every fix, with how many points it adds on its own. Detailed scoring takes each category in turn: what it checks, how you scored, and the fixes for it. Then how you compare with up to three competitors, and the critical gaps, with the root cause of each. What to do on each page is your plan for every page we scanned. And the last section shows how an AI answer could read, once your fixes are live. Overview shows how each category did, and where your points were lost. Fixes lists every issue the scan found, most valuable first, with what it means and how many points fixing it adds. On a paid plan, click Generate fix. GeoTest reads your own pages, and writes the change for you. You get what the fix does, the copy to paste, and where it goes. Where the wording is a choice, there are three versions to pick from. Copy your favorite, paste it into your site, and publish. Tools writes AI-ready FAQs for your site, with the schema to match, ready to paste. AI answers runs a live test of what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini say about you. Here's the result: how often each engine mentions you, whether it cites your site, and how that changes over time. That's how you fix your site. In the last video, I'll show you how to re-scan, and watch your score climb. See you there!

Video 3: Keep your site AI-ready (1:57)

Tick off fixes as you make them, re-scan the whole site to prove the change, and follow your score over time.

  • Track which fixes are done
  • Re-scan the whole site after a change
  • Read your score history
  • Re-run the AI answers test each month

Transcript

Welcome to the last video! Your site changes, and AI search does too. I'll show you how to re-scan after you make changes, track your score over time, and keep your site AI-ready. Here's your site's dashboard before any changes, with plenty of points left to gain. As you make each fix on your site, tick it off here, so you always know what's done and what's left. Once your changes are live, run a new scan of the whole site. GeoTest reads every page again and scores your changes. A full site scan takes a minute or two. And there's your new score. The dashboard shows how far you've climbed, and the points still left to gain. Score history plots every scan, so you can see the trend, and spot a drop after any change. Every scan is saved, so you can open any of them and compare. Re-run the AI answers test each month, to see whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini start to mention you. Tracked sites shows what your plan covers, and how many scans and tests you have left this month. A good habit: re-scan whenever you publish new pages or change your site, and keep working down your list of fixes. That's the whole loop: score it, fix it, prove it. Re-scan after every change, and your site stays ready for AI search. Thanks for watching!

AI search in figures

These AI search figures show how fast answers are replacing clicks, and each one is dated and sourced. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is a method for structuring a website so AI answer engines can read, trust and cite it. A citation is defined as a link to your page inside an AI answer, and the GEO Score refers to a 0 to 100 rating of how ready a page is to earn one. These published figures show why it matters; the reasoning behind every weight is in the methodology.

How much do AI summaries reduce clicks?

AI summaries cut clicks by about half: Pew Research Center found searchers clicked a result 8% of the time when an AI summary appeared, versus 15% without one, a 47% drop (July 2025).

How common are zero-click searches in 2025?

Zero-click searches rose from 56% to 69% between May 2024 and May 2025, and 83% of searches end without a click when AI Overviews show, according to Similarweb (2025).

What share of websites are ready for AI search?

Very few websites are ready: only 2% of the 537 sites in the GeoTest benchmark scored 80 or more in September 2026, and the median score was 47. Those scores came from the rubrics in use before GEO v6.0.

How much search traffic are publishers losing?

Publishers are losing about a third of their Google referrals: across 2,500+ publisher websites, Google search referral traffic was down 33% globally and 38% in the US year over year as of early 2026 (Chartbeat).

How many buyers research with AI chatbots in 2026?

71% of B2B software buyers rely on AI chatbots for software research (G2, 2026), which is why being cited matters as much as ranking. See what GEO is.

Frequently asked questions

These are short, complete answers to the questions people ask about this page, each one written to stand on its own.

Where should a beginner start with GeoTest?

A beginner should start with Getting started, the first of the three video guides: it runs a free Quick Scan, explains the GEO Score and grade, and tours the dashboard. Then watch Your full report and your fixes, and Keep your site AI-ready.

Do I need an account to follow along?

No account is needed for the first scan: the free GEO score checker scores any page. A free account saves the scan and shows every issue. Free scans give the score and every issue priced in points; paid plans write the fix. See pricing.

Which website do the videos scan?

The videos scan Fernbrook Plumbing, a sample business site GeoTest built for them. Fernbrook Plumbing is not a real company, so every issue, fix and score in the videos comes from a real scan of that sample site.

Do the videos have captions and transcripts?

Each video has English captions you can turn on with the CC button in the player, and the full transcript sits under each video on this page.
